In 2016 Dave was presented with the Gold Key of Excellence by Las Vegas Legends of Magic Lance Burton and Mac King for his work associated with the Discover Magic Curriculum. He was again awarded the Gold Key of Excellence in 2018.
In 2017, 2019, 2020, 2023 Dave was awarded the True Magician Award for his work with the Davis Magic Academy and the Greater Dayton Metro Area children for exemplifying the 8 Traits of a True Magician – which are Respectful, Prepared, Enthusiastic, Confident, Humble, Creative, Authentic and Giving.
